   • Culture shock occurs when people from different cultures interact and experience tensions, misunderstandings or conflicts due to differences in values, norms, behaviors and beliefs.

   • Gender roles:
     • Expectations about gender roles can vary widely across cultures.
   • Greetings and expressions of courtesy:
     • In some cultures, it is common to give a kiss on the cheek as a greeting, while in others it may be considered inappropriate or even invasive.
