1. Informative

   • Stick to the facts and avoid complicated info.
     • Time:explains when things should happen
     • Place :explains where things should happen
     • Cause and Effect : explains how things should happen
     • Logical Order

2. Instructional

   • to give specificdirections or orders
     • Why the information/skill is valuable?
     • Demonstrate the process if it involves something in which the audience will later participate using the following method
     • Explain the learning objectives
     • participants can ask questions, give, and receive feedback from you

3. Arousing

   • to make people think about a certain problem or situation.
     • Gain attention with a story
     • Describe your solution
     • Call the audience to action to help solve the problem

4. Persuasive

   • to convince your listeners to accept your proposal
     • Create a great introduction
     • present sufficient logic
     • Tantalize the audience by describing the advantages of solving the problem or need

5. Decision-making

   • to move your audience to take your suggested action.
     • You should let them know what will happen if the don't do what you ask.
     • Gain attention with a story
     • Before/After with the problem solved and unsolved
     • Show the need to solve the problem
