1. Advantages

   • Cannot skip the bits you already know so can be tedious
   • Dependent upon having large no. of computers

   • Lack of social support from teachers and peer groups if do not understand instructions
   • Expensive and time consuming to set up questions
   • Hard to mark essays
   • Students need motivation to work by themselves
   • Students can feel isolate- Help is not always available
   • Material may be out of date
   • Answers to questions may take along time to arrive
   • Equipment of broadband link can fail leaving the student without a lesson.
