3. types of forces

   • friction
     • a force that is caused by rubbing two things together
       • contact force
     • slows things down
       • causes heat
       • make noises
         • wear things away
     • can be reduse by using smooth surface
       • or lubricant
   • air resistence and water resistence are a type of friction
     • contact forces
   • upthrust
     • upwards force from water or air
     • contact force

   • gravity
     • static electricity
       • magnitism

   • your substance
   • measured in kg
   • weight measeured
     • force meter and newtons
       • spring
     • caused by gravity pulling down

6. you can decide whether or not something will float due to its density

   • density = mass/volume
     • units g/cm3
   • water has a density of 1g/cm3
     • if something has a density under that it wil float in water
