   • If the wrong person has acces to your data then they can missue it
     • Data could be deleted
     • Data could be backmail
     • Data could be changed
     • Data could help people to impersonate you

2. How do people can get your data?

   • A hacker break into the network
   • A CD-ROOM or a memory stick left somewhere
   • Someone might read things on an unattended monitor
   • The data could be sold
   • A pasword might be guessed
   • Information might be intercepted
   • Personals print outs can be found

3. How to stop data being in wrong hands?

   • Encrypt files,when taking them out
   • Use strong paswords
   • Lock you computer when you are away from it
   • Destroy the print outs that have sensitive data

4. How to protect your data?

   • Many goverments have creates Data protection Acts,mainly consisting of following certain rules by any busines or organisation  that contains database containig personal data 
   • Data must only be kept if its necessary for the business or organisation
   • The data must be exact and kept up to date, it is necessary that the data has no mistakes
   • Data must not be kept longer than necesssary
   • Data must be keep secure
   • Data cant not be tranasfered to a country that does not have similar protection laws
