Judaism
- Judaism is 3,500 years old, the only
religion older is Hinduism
- Monotheism=
Belief in one God
- Anti-semitism= Treating
someone badly because they are
Jewish
- There are 4 main branches of
Jews; Orthodox, conservative,
Progressive or reform and Liberal
- Abraham means father
of multitudes
- A Jew is only a pure Jew
if he/she was born from a
Jewish mother
- The Torah contains a central prayer
calling for belief in one God, the Shema
- Jesus was born a Jew but the
Jewish do not believe that he was
the Messiah
- Jewish people believe they have been
chosen by God to tell the world about
him, in return God promised them a
promised land
- The Jews were blamed for
the killing of Jesus
- Jewish believe they have a
special connection to God
meaning they have to behave
in a righteous way
