Lattitude of acceptance:

Social judgment theory that the initial attitudes of an audience a significant effect the speakers potential to attitudinal or behavioral change. listeners have attitudes of acceptanceno commitment and rejection. persuaders are most likely to effect change if they stay within a persons latitude of acceptance. By this, we mean that the position of the persuaders consistent with and highly favorable too
