1-vanadium(V) oxide

2-450 C

3-1 atm

reactions:

2SO2(g) + O2(g) => 2SO3(g) (reversible)

2SO3 + H2SO4 => H2S2O7

H2S2O7 + H2O => 2H2SO4

-when SO3 is mixed directly with water it is very exothermic and produces acid mist/fog

-a higher temp will decrease yield because it is exothermic

-a higher pressure will increase yield
