Reputation

Othello's reputation- Othello is unfairly defined in Brabantio’s eyes by the negative reputation of ‘Moors’ for lasciviousness and witchcraft

"O thou foul theif! Where hast thou stowed my daughter?"

"If she in clains of magic were not bound"

"thou hast enchanted her"

Cassio's reputation-

"Reputation, reputation, reputation! O, I have lost my reputation! I have lost the immoral part of myself, and what remains is betail. My reputation, Iago

Iago using his squeaky clean reputation to gain the trust of others in order to manipulate them

Roderigo- "As if the strings were thine", "that thou Iago who hast had my purse"

"honest Iago"
