Math and Philosophy

• All of the letters that we use have came from the Greeks.
• How we sound out the words is also the same as them.
• Our number system is also the same as the greeks.
• This has impacted my life today because letters is how I talk and sound out the words. Also we use these numbers everyday with what we are doing.

Government

• The types of government that they have we also have.
• They have Democracy, Monarchy, and Oligarchy.
• All of their governments are all on different teams in the courts.
• This impacts life today because this is like what we have in the U.S. Without the government the world would probably be a warzone.

Sports

• Greece had their own olympic games in the ancient times.
• Their olympic games were held at the place that the gods were.
• The only people who could participate in the games were free men they could not be slaves.
• The events that they had were running, wrestling, chariot racing, boxing, and something called the pentathlon.
• This relates to us today because we also have olympics.
• We also have some of those sports in the olympics but not all of them.

Architecture

• One thing that they had are called columns.
• They look like pillars to steady the roof above.
• They built temples which was a building surrounded by columns.
• Some other things that they built were theatres, gymnasiums, court house, council building, and a sports stadium.
• This relates to the world today because without this it probably would've taken people longer to know how to build this stuff.
• We also wouldn't have all of these cool places that we could go to.

Arts

• Some things that they did in art was build sculptures. They would build sculptures of people.
• They would also make stuff called pottery which looks like vase's and other things like that.
• The columns were also designed with art to give them a cool look.
• This contributes to the world today because there are many sculptures around the world.
• I have seen some sculptures of players when I went to sport games.
• I have also heard of a sculpture about Michaelangelo and I heard it is really famous.
