Control Bus	- Bi-directional bus - Ensures that access to the other buses by different components is not conflicting - Transmits timing and status information
Data Bus	- Bi-directional bus - Moves data and instructions between components
Address Bus	- One-way bus - Goes from processor to bus, then bus to I/O and memory - Memory is divided into words - Every word has a specific address, transmitted by the address bus
