What is an controlled experiment? It is a test that involves changing one factor in order to see how it affects other factors.
What are cells? Cells are living things that are in all living things to keep them alive.They are the basic building blocks of living things.
What is nutrition? The way in which living things get their food.
What is exretion? The way in which livings things get rid of wastes that they produce.
What is response? The way in which living things react to changes in their surroundings.
What is movement? All living things have the abilty to move.
What are the two types of cells? Animal and plant cells.
What is biodiversity? The huge variety of living things in the world.
What is bacteria? Tiny microscopic living things they can cause disease and decay but there can be good bacteria.
What is fungi? Mushrooms moulds and yeasts.
What are vertrates? Animals that have a backbone humans count as a vertrate.
What are invertebrates? Animals that do not have a backbone such as spiders earthworms jellyfish.
What is light microscope? A type of microscope which uses white light.
What is a cell membrane? Its a very thin layer surrounding the cell . It holds the cell contents in place and controls what passes into and out of the cell.
What is cytoplasm? Watery liquid found between the nucleus and the cell membrane. It supports tiny cell structures.
What is mitochondrion? It supplys energy to the cell.
What is a vacuole? It belongs to the plant cell. It contains liquid. It helps to give strength to the cell.It stores food for the plant.
What is tissue? A group of cells carrying out the same function.
What is an organ? Two or more tissues working together.
What is organism? Systems working together.
What are stem cells? Stem cells have the ability to develop into different types of cells.
What are the five main food constituents? Carbihydrates, fats, proteins,vitamins,and minerals.
What are the stages of digestion? Ingestion,digestion,absorption,assimilation,engestion.
What is ingestion? Taking food into the the mouth.
What is digestion? Breaking down of food into simpler molecules.
What is absorption? Passing of ffod molecules into blood through the small intestine.
What is assimation? Body cells take in food molecules for energy, growth and repair.
What is engestion? Undigested food is passed out of the body.
