  1. Long adjectives
    1. Element 1 + MORE + Adjective + THAN + Element 2
      1. Example: DOLPHINS ARE MORE INTELLIGENT THAN SHARKS.
    2. Short adjectives
      1. Element 1 + (Adjective + er) + THAN + Element 2
        1. One syllabe adjectives: add -er
          1. Example: THE ANTS ARE SMALLER THAN SPIDERS
          2. Adjectives ending one vowel + one consonant: double consonant, add -er
            1. Example: THE HOUSE IS BIGGER THAN FLAT
            2. One or two syllabe adjectives ending consonant +Y : -ier
              1. Example: THE FRENCH IS EASIER THAN THE GERMAN
          3. Exceptions (irregular adjectives)
            1. Four adjectives
              1. Good < Better
                1. Example: THE BOOK IS BETTER THAN THE FILM
                2. Bad < Worse
                  1. Example: THE ORAL EXAMEN IS WORSE THAN THE WRITTEN
                  2. Far < Further
