THE NEGATIVE CONTRACTIONS

It is a negative verb that ends in- 'nt.
1. Negative contractions; are commonly used in an informal writing.
A contraction is a shortened form of one or two words
1. In a contraction, an apostrophe takes the place of a missing letter or letters.
Practically every verb (except am) has a form with a contracted negative.
Examples :
1. isn't
2. aren't
3. don't
4. hasn't
5. wasn't
6. didn't
7. can't
8. won't
9. couldn't
10. hadn't
We use contractions with be + negative in 2 ways:
