variation and classification
  1. species
    1. a specie is a category within the classification system.living things of the same type belong to the same species.
      1. individuals of the same specie can reproduce to make more individuals of the same specie
      2. variation
        1. all people are human.they belong to the same species.your friends may have diffrent eye and hair colour.the presence of diffrences between living of the same species is called variation
        2. continuous and discontinuous
          1. continuous
            1. for any specie with acharacteristic that changes gradually over a range of values shows continuous variation.
            2. discontinuous
              1. characteristic of any specie with only a limited number of possibe values
            3. inherited and enviromental
              1. variation in a characteristic that is a result of genetic inheritance from the parents is called inherited variation
                1. variation caused by the surrondings is called enviromental variation
                  1. both types together
                    1. some features can be enviromental and inherited because if a pair of twins inherit the parents features but one is given less food that the other one it will grow heavier:enviromental
                  2. natural and artificial selection
                    1. individuals with the variations best suited to the enviroment will survive better than others - natural
                      1. when people use selective breeding to produce new varieties of a species.
                      2. clasifying organisms
                        1. carl linnaeus started the modern system of putting species of organism into certain groups and giving them scintifc m¡anmes.
