types of forces
  1. contact force

    Annotations:

    • force exerted while touching each other.
    1. tension

      Annotations:

      • when a rope or cable carries a load
      1. friction

        Annotations:

        • force exerted from a surface over an object.
        1. compression

          Annotations:

          • force exerted when squeezing something into a smaller space.
        2. field force

          Annotations:

          • force exerted over a distance.
          1. gravitational force

            Annotations:

            • force that bodies exert on objects on their surface.
            1. newton's laws.

              Annotations:

              • 1. the further objects from one another the weaker the force.  2. the larger the mass of an object the stronger its gravitational force.
            2. magnetic forces

              Annotations:

              • a force that two magnetic materials exert over each other over a distance.
              1. magnetic materials

                Annotations:

                • cobalt, nickel and iron. technically also steel, because it contains iron.
                1. force of attraction

                  Annotations:

                  • pullling force
                  1. force of repulsion

                    Annotations:

                    • pushing force
                  2. electrostatic force

                    Annotations:

                    • a force that two electrically charged objects exert on each other.
                    1. electrostatic potential energy

                      Annotations:

                      • when you overcome the attraction or repulsion forces, you leave the object with electrostatic potential energy.
                      1. lightning

                        Annotations:

                        • friction is caused by the moving water and air particles resulting in a change of charge at the bottom of the cloud. The cloud then push all like charges on the ground away, resulting in a discharge.
