There is always a discussion about what would be the best font, most appropriate, or have the best readability. This debate centers on the two types of font: serif and sans serif. Some say that sans serifs are easy to read because they are plain, some say that serifs are easier because the serif draws the eye to the next letter. In fact there is no difference in comprehension, reading speed, or preference between serif and sans serif fonts showed in research.How do people recognize letters?People recognize letters thrgouh a memory pattern. What the brain identify is the patterns that make letters look alike.In this situation designers have to choose fonts that have a clear identifiable patter. If a font is hard to read the meaning of the text will be lost and your design will be compromised.
