שושנת הרוחות היא תרשים המראה את כיווני רוחות השמים: צפון, דרום, מזרח ומערב. השרטוט מורה גם את כיווני הביניים צפון-מזרח, דרום-מזרח, דרום-מערב, וצפון-מערב.לעתים יש שושנות רוחות המראות כיוונים משניים נוספים (ראו שרטוט משמאל), הנותנים זווית נוספת של 22.5 מעלות, או אף פחות כמו 11.25 מעלות. למעשה צורתו של המצפן האנלוגי היא בצורת שושנת הרוחות.
