NASA will carry the Orion spacecraft onto the SLS and send it to the moon (without passengers), the Orion spacecraft will orbit the moon and the return to Earth. The cause of this mission is to test the SLS and Orion which is why there will be no humans on board this spaceship. NASA will then replicate the mission except having humans aboard the spaceship to test how they react to long times in space. In 2020 NASA will send astronauts in a deep space adventure to test the readiness for Mars, and human psychology for these long journeys. NASA will also have an Asteroid Redirect Mission in which NASA will send a robotic spacecraft to capture an asteroid and put it in an orbit that is safe around the moon and then the Orion will dock onto the robotic spacecraft. Astronauts will then go onto the asteroid and take samples and then return it back from space. After all of this, we can finally send humans to low-Mars orbit in the early 2030's. This theory makes sense because first, we are Earth reliant then we are proving that we can go to the moon and then we will be independent of Earth
