Multiplying and Dividing FractionsWhen multiplying and dividing fractions, write whole/mixed numbers as improper fractions.Example:5            4     20       (multiply the numerators together)_     x     _  =  _7            9     63       ( multiply the denominators together)For division, turn the second fraction upside down (taking the reciprocal) and multiply thefractions together.Example:3 1/2 divided by 4/5=7/2 divided by 4/5=7/2 x 5/4= 35/8=2 3/8
