uncountable and contable nouns (food)

Welcome to the course, please pay attention to the video and try to capt all the food quantifiers as you can and write them down on your notebook or wherever you wish. This will help you in the next task.

Countable nouns are those elements that can be counted one by one using numbers.

The uncountable nouns only have a singular form, usually they do not carry articles but sometimes they can be accompanied by some / any.

If we want to express a specific quantity of a countless element we will add a group of words that divide the whole into parts that can be counted followed by the preposition of:   a bag of flour. a slice of meat. a carton of milk. a jar of jam. a drop of water. a pinch of salt. a can of pineapple.

There are some containers that may help you to talk about a set of food, countable or uncountable.
