- 1What is the aim of the context diagram?To represent an overview of the system.
- 2How do you draw a context diagram?Draw a single process along with multiple inputs, outputs and external entities with data flow arrows. Each element should be labelled.

- 5What is the aim of the data flow diagram?To represent a system as a number of processes that together form a single system. It is a refined context diagram and identified the flow of data.
- 6How do you draw a data flow diagram?The same way a context diagram is drawn, however, it may have multiple processes (marked by numbers) that can be broken down even further as well as one or more data stores. They may have an external entity but it is not a requirement.

Other symbols (listed below), can be used to further explain the movement of data and any variables as well as decisions and repetitions that need to be made. All elements should be labelled.
