Fichas
Speed, velocity and acceleration
Fichas del conjunto (8)
- 1AccelerationThe rate of change in speed (or velocity), measured in metres per second squared. Acceleration = change of velocity ÷ time taken.
- 2DecelerationSlowing down or negative acceleration, eg the car slowed down with a deceleration of 2ms^-2.
- 3DisplacementQuantity describing the distance from the start of the journey to the end in a straight line with a described direction, eg the hiker ended up at the hostel 50km due north of his original position
- 4ForceA push or a pull. The unit of force is the newton (N).
- 5MagnitudeThe magnitude tells us the size of the vector.
