Ralph W. Tyler Model

The main point is to distinguish what changes can be expected in human beings as a consequence of a learning process and which will be out of reach.

R.W Tyler poses the following questions

1.What purposes does the school want to achieve?

2.Of all the educational experiences that can be offered, which ones offer the best chance of achieving these ends?

3.How can these experiences be efficiently organized?

4.How can we check if the proposed objectives have been achieved?

HildaTaba Model

This model allows to keep the curriculum in line with the needs of the time, it is essentially a process of determining facts to be taken into account in the curriculum.

Hilda Taba poses the following questions

1. Which are the students needs?

2.Which objectives will be develop in students?

3. How can we check if the proposed objectives have been achieved?

Mauritz Johnson Model

Johnson says that the curriculum is not a system, it can be seen as the result of a curriculum development system and as an input into a teaching system

Mauritz Johnson poses the following questions in his model

1.What are the expected learning outcomes?

2.What content will be taught?

3.What will be the sequence to teach such content?

4.How can we check if the proposed objectives have been achieved?
