INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF REAGENT STRIPS
- 1. Use fresh, non-centrifuged urine. Mix the urine sample thoroughly. During the analysis, the sample should be at room temperature. The sample should not rest more than 2 hours before analysis.
- 2. Remove a test strip and close the container immediately with the same cap that has a drying agent, otherwise erroneous measurements may be produced by the coloration of the reactive zones caused by humidity.
- 3. Dip the test strip briefly (about 1 second) into the urine by wetting all test areas.
- 4. When removing, rub the side edge at the edge of the container to remove excess urine.
- 5. After 60 seconds (for the leukocyte zone, after 60-120 seconds), compare the reaction colors of the reactive zones of the strip with the color scale of the label and assign the value of the block chromatid more similar to the observed color. Compare the ninth or tenth reactive zone (blood) with both chromatic references, since for erythrocytes and hemoglobin two different chromatic scales are indicated. Changes in color that only appear on the edges of the reactive zones or after more than two minutes have elapsed, are not of diagnostic importance.
The test strip is used for simultaneous semi-quantitative determination in urine by visual reading: density, pH value, leukocytes, nitrite, protein, glucose, ketone, urobilinogen, bilirubin and blood.
