Flight controls
Primary surfaces
- Ailerons
- They are movable surfaces, located in the rear part of the end of each wing, whose actuation causes the movement of warping of the airplane on its longitudinal axis.
- Elevators
- When pulling the control wheel, this surface goes up while pushing it down - in some planes the entire horizontal empennage moves.
- Rudder
- Its movement causes the yaw movement of the plane on its vertical axis
- Ailerons
Secondary surfaces
- Flaps
- Its function is to increase the lift of the aircraft when it is flying at speeds lower than those for which the wing has been designed.
- Slats
- They are hypersusceptive surfaces that act in a similar way to the flaps.
- Spoilers
- Unlike the flaps and slats, the objective of this surface is to decrease the aircraft's lift.
- Flaps
