1. Cascading Style Sheets

   • External stylesheets are stored in CSS
   • Written in HTML or XML
     • XML stands for eXtensible Markup Language. It's there to collect data and transport it. 
     • A branch of HTML

2. A programming language

   • Can control layout of multiple web pages

   • You can completely change the layout of something by just changing one file
     • Also, one mistake can change the whole webpage, so you have to be very careful with syntax errors

3. Hakon Wium Lie and Tim Burner-Lee created it

   • Was created because when tags like 'font' were added to HTML, it started confusing evergone
     • CSS was simply created as HTML was never supposed to describe the presentation of a document, so they made CSS.
     • So they created CSS to solve that problem
   • Was created in 1996

4. Describes the presentation of a document

   • Layout
     • The way everything is presented so it looks nicer.
   • Variations in display
     • Different ways they display things so it is isn't exactly the same
   • Styles Text
     • Specifies text attributes, including the font, size, line spacing, font style and text alignment.
