Dracula Essay

  1. PARAGRAPH 3

    • " There is not time to be lost. She will die for sheer want of blood to keep the heart's action as it should be. There must be a blood transfusion at once." ( 127)
    • "Mr. Morris took me to the room in the hotel where our rooms had been ordered by telegraph, he being
    • "And so I have written it whilst we wait their return, and Mrs. Harker has written with her typewriter all since she brought the MS. to us." (367)
  2. PARAGRAPH 2

    • "Then he mixed a narcotic, and coming over to the bed, said cheerily:-"Now, little miss, here is your medicine." (105)
    • "My friend John and I have consulted; and we are about to perform what we call a transfusion of blood to transfer from the full veins of one to the empty veins which pine for him." (147)
    • "It is nineteenth century up-to-date with a vengeance. And yet, unless my senses deceive me, the old centuries had,and have, powers of their own which mere 'modernity' cannot kill." (24)
  3. PARAGRAPH 4

    • Technology has affected society for as long as man has been living. If we didn't have the technology we do today, I think that we would not have half the advancements that we do. It affects everyone in the world. Today we can search the internet and get thousands of results of information in seconds. If it were not for the technology and science of the first men, through all eras including the Victorian era, and to today, we would not be the people/society we are today.
  4. THESIS

    • If it were not for the knowledge and technology of the Victorian era in the book Dracula by Bram Stoker, the characters would not have been able to save a life or end one.
