Present Perfect Passive

  1. There are several reasons why we use the passive voice in English. In these notes, we will focus on the perfect present in the passive voice and with explanations. As a general rule, we use the passive voice when the focus is on the action and NOT on who or what is doing the action.

    • Building
      • has/have + been + participio pasado (enjoyed, imagined).
        • We use the passive voice in a more formal setting, such as a thesis or an important essay, such as scientific essays
  2. The passive voice "Present Perfect" tense answers the question: "What has been done?" / What has been done? or What has been being done? / What has been done?
