1. Its a type of performance testing

2. It has to be performed at the end of the SDLC

3. Its a type of non-functional testing

4. It involves testing beyond normal operational capacity

5. It's used to determine the stability of a given system

6. It put greater emphasis on robustness, availability and error handing

7. The goal is to ensure that the software does not crash in conditions of insufficient computational resources

8. Also called fatigue testing

9. Spike testing

   • Type of stress testing which is performed when the application is loaded with heavy loads

10. Purpose of stress testing

    • Tries to break the system under test by overwhelming its resources
    • Make sure that the system fails and recovers easily, this is called recoverability
    • It can be used to uncover data corruption issues
