Nota:

  • Reduce speed when approaching a intersection with a light; then if it changes you don't pitch forward
  1. Stale Green

    Nota:

    • An old, unstable light that's been green for awhile and will soon change to yellow
    1. Timing

      Nota:

      • Responding early keeps you and traffic behind you moving, decreases your chance of being rear-ended, and reduces the time you'll wait for the light to change.
      • Simply seeing the closed zone in your target are and reducing your speed to arrive at the intersection when the light is green.
      1. Point of No Return

        Nota:

        • Is 2-3 second before intersection
        • Saves you from being seconds any when the light changes and causing a accident.
        1. Turning

          Nota:

          • Every turn at a traffic light is a risky 4-second danger zone.
          • most dangerous is a left turn here you must stop and yield to all other traffic until it is safe to proceed.
          1. Stopping

            Nota:

            • After the stop, continue driving if you are the first car, if you are the second or third..... wait 2-seconds before going through the intersection.
