   • Social pressure by peer to take a certain action or values in order to be accepted

2. FACTORS

   • want to be accepted and valued by friends
   • poor self-esteem
   • few friends
   • special needs

3. 2 TYPES

   • POSITIVE(+)
     • inspired by the peer to do the right thing
       • eg: study groups
   • NEGATIVE(-)
     • influenced to try negative things
       • eg:smoking,drinking

4. HOW TO MANAGE

   • PARENTS
     • always communicate with child
     • giving space in home to the child and her friends
     • concern towards child by listening their problems
     • discuss with child the consequences of negative behaviour
     • compromise with child
     • encourage a wide social network
   • TEENAGERS
     • always say NO to bad attitudes & influences
     • build up strong self-esteem
