Resumen del Recurso

Matter Cycles
  1. Oxygen Cycle
    1. Producers release oxygen as a result of photosynthesis.
      1. Most organisms take in oxygen from the air or water and use it for their life process.
    2. Carbon Cycle
      1. Most producers take in Carbon dioxide gas from from the air during food-making.
        1. As consumers eat producers, thet take in carbon molecules.
          1. Both producers and consumers then break down the food to obtain energy.
            1. When the food is broken down, producers and consumers release carbon dioxide and water into the environment.
              1. When producers and consumers die, decomposers break down their remeains and return carbon molecules to soil.
      2. Nitrogen Cycle
        1. Bacteria in roots nodules fix free nitrogen into simple compounds.
          1. Consumers eat nitrogen compounds in plants.
            1. Decomposers return simple nitrogen compounds into the soil.
              1. Soil Bacteria release some free nitrogen into the air.
