RADIO WAVES

1. Long Radio waves

   • They diffract and bend allowing them to travel extremely long distances
     • They curve around the earth
     • Also diffract around hills, tunnels, houses and all sorts
     • This bending and diffraction means signals can be recieved even it the reciever is not in direct sight of the transmitter.

2. Medium signals

   • These can also diffract and reflect off the ionosphere however only in certain conditions and at different times of day.

3. Short waves

   • These cannot bend nor reflect or diffract.
     • unless you are in direct sight of the transmitter signals canot be recieved.
