1. A parabola is a curve where any point is at an equal distance from: a fixed point (the focus ), and a fixed straight line (the directrix )

2. The Vertex of a parabola is the point where the parabola and its axis of symmetry intersect each other

3. To get a parabola you´ll need this equation y=ax^2+bx+c or x=ay^2+by+c

4. Axis of symmetry of a parabola is the line about which it is symmetric. It is the line at which vertex and focus is located. Axis of symmetry is either X or Y axis or it is parallel to either X or Y axis.
