                1. Livestock is killed, coastal habitats eroded or flooded
                  1. Heavy rain causes lanslides in unstable hills
                  2. Secondary
                    1. Homelessness
                      1. Lack of sanitation; diseases spread
                        1. Unemployment
                          1. Food shortage because of damaged crops
                            1. Psycological problems
                          2. Drought
                            1. Primary
                              1. Vegetation dies
                                1. People and animals die from dehydration
                                  1. Aquatic animals die because lakes dry up
                                    1. Soil erodes because it is dried out
                                    2. Secondary
                                      1. Animals and people die from starvation
