Resumen del Recurso

Hexadecimal
  1. Why is Hexadecimal used?
    1. Because of our human limitations
      1. We can't memorise large binary values
        1. We would probably mess up
        2. But computers have limitations too
          1. They only understand binary not hex
            1. so computers have to be programmed to be able to convert hex to binary
        3. Simplified to hex notations
          1. less space for mistakes
          2. In short, it is easier for us to understand!
          3. How to convert between Hex and binary
            1. to convert:
              1. Make a table
                1. In hex the values go up by powers of 16
                  1. 4096 --- 256 --- 16 --- 1
                    1. Put the hex values into the table
                      1. Then multiply
                  2. hex to denary
                  3. Why?
                    1. Converting is very important
                      1. Since a computer can't understand hex
                  4. A bit about hex
                    1. a base 16 number system
                      1. 0 - 15
                        1. A - F
                        2. Used simply for human benefit
                          1. Computers don't use it
                            1. easy to convert
                            2. Hex figures
                              1. A - 10
