1. Massive

   • The earliest man- made constructions were heavy and MASSIVE
     • There were used stones or wooden intels to open small holes EX:

2. Vaulted

   • They are structures formed by arches, vaults and domes.
     • Romans used these construction elements to cover spaces such as basilicas, pantheons and cathedrals that increase the size of holes in their strucutres

3. Frame

   • They are structures of our builldings and houses .They ombine elements as beams and pillars, which can be made of wood, steel or concrete
     • Beams: Are elements normally placed in an horizontal position that support the loasd of the strucuture and transmit it to the pilar
     • Pillars: Strong elements placed in a vertical position that support the weight of the elements that rest on them Cyllindrical shpe , are columns

4. Triangulated

   • They are usually made up of metal or wooden bars. Triangulation makes structures undeformable, so it's a good solution for building bridges roofs and vertical structures like towers

5. Suspended

   • They are based on the use of cables from which the structure hangs. They are used in bridges and to cover a stadium or a pavillion

6. Pneumatic

   • Are removable and light therefore they are used in construction that must be transported and installed quikly and easily. They are used to build field hospitals attractions boats...

7. Laminated

   • They are made of thin sheets of metals , plastic or composite materials. They owe their resistance to the curvature or folds that they present. They are used as outer shells of objects and in wavy roofs

8. Geodesic

   • They are three-dimensional structures made up of bars , that combine the properties of vaults with those of triangulated strucutures. This way , they can create curves and cover large spans
