1. Used to is a modal verb that is used to refer to past actions that no longer happen in the present. In Spanish it is equivalent to used followed by the infinitive or the past imperfect indicative: I sang, you sang, he sang, etc.

   • I used to sing in a choir when I was young. Solía cantar/cantaba en un coro cuando era joven.
   • Recuerda que used to es un verbo modal que siempre se utiliza en past simple.
   • I used to go swimming but now I don't. Yo solía ir a nadar pero ahora no lo hago.
