1. Body worn cameras

   • A tool that’s been used to add to the transparency of policing. Body cameras have been used to protect officers from false claims as well as protect citizens from police misconduct.
   • Despite transparency, some people have concerns about how the cameras are being utilized especially during high profile incidents and protests. Most prople still want the body cameras, as long as they’re been used for good.

2. Facial recognition software

   • Proven to be a great investigative tool and crime deterrent
   • Causes of serious privacy concerns and potential errors as software is not accurate with people of color. People fear that police may overstep boundaries with a tool that is not yet regulated

3. Drones

   • Drones to make for a good use when officers need vantage points for crime scenes, public safety concerns, searches and rescue efforts.
   • Drone seem to be very helpful for investigative work, but some people may see them as another way to invade privacy and question the motives of the police

4. Shotspotter

   • A tool that used to locate the exact location of where a gun is fired. It’s good in helping police investigations and locating victims immediately.
   • Shotspotter is a tool that has proven helpful to police and citizens and Mede when a shooting occurs
