Our Investigation Process

1. used prior knowledge of children's knowledge of Dr.Seuss

   • initial research
     • we decided that these books would be the best to use to introduce the study
       • Cat In The Hat
       • The Lorax
       • One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
       • Fox In Socks

2. DAY ONE

   • Read two Dr.Seuss books
   • have students do visualization activity
   • discuss elements of the book

3. DAY TWO

   • "what do you notice about the book?"
   • "What would you do if the Cat in the Hat showed up in your room?" draw and write

4. DAY THREE

   • reread one Dr.Seuss book
   • have them write their own poem like Dr.Seuss
