37. There are Four Ways to be Creative

Four Types of Creativity

• Deliberate and Cognitive
• This type of creativity takes knowledge and time to achieve. Think of Edison inventing the lightbulb as an example.
• Deliberate and Emotional
• This type of creativity requires time for the user to gain insights. They may need to go offline and think before coming back to respons.
• Spontaneous and Cognitive
• This type of creativity requires people to stop working on a project and then come back to it later. Think of Newton discovering gravity when an apple fell on his head.
• Spontaneous and Emotional
• This type of creativity can't be designed for. There is no specific knoweldge required, but often a skill is required.
