What is the atmosphere? The envelope of gases surrounding the earth or other planets.
Where do early atmospheres come from? gases expelled from extensive volcanism and from comets and meteorites.
Air: Two common gases , nitrogen and oxygen make up abut %99 of dry air.
How long did it before oxygen begin to accumulate in the atmosphere? 2 billion years.
