Simplifying Ratios

• 
• Ratios are usually given in their simplest form.
• To simplify a ratio you need to divide both sides by the same number (highest common factor)
• If we multiply or divide all numbers in a ratio by the same amount, the ratio is still in proportion and is the same ratio.
• Pie de imagen: The ration 9:63 has been divided by 9 to simplify it to 1:7.
