Electrons

• Location: orbit the nucleus, electron clouds, and they move fast
• Size: Tiny, effectively zero
• Mass: Tiny, effectively zero
• Charge: negative
• Remember:
• Electrons are Negative because they are small and aren't in the big party.

Protons

• Location:In the nucleus [nucleus is in the center on the atom]
• Size: Small compared to the atom but bigger than electrons. Same size as neutrons.
• Mass:1 Atomic Unit [AMU]
• Charge:1positive
• Remember:
• Protons are positive because they are in the big party.

Neutron

• Location: in the nucleus
• Size: Small compared to the atom but bigger than electrons
• Mass: 1 AMU
• REMEMBER:
• NEUTRONS are NEUTRAL because they are in the big party but they're house is getting trashed.

Element Labeling

• 
• The number 7 is the Atomic Number
• Atomic Number = the number of protons
• The letter N is the element symbol
• The element symbol is the abbreviation for the element
• The number 14.007 is the Atomic Mass
