| Hypoxic | Cells, tissues, organs... are deprived have abnormally low levels of oxygen |
| Hypoxaemic | Abnormally low levels of oxygen in the blood |
| Agonal breathing | Irregular, ineffective, sporadic breathing, with periods of apnoea throughout. Typically seen in the dying patient. |
