Addition for T=nc unit | Putting a list numbers/items together, like the cost of items, to get a sum or total. The “+” sign is used when “adding” numbers together to get a total. |
Subtraction for the T=nc unit | Taking away a number from a number to get a remaining number, like taking away the total cost of items from the amount of money you have to get the change you will get. The “-” sign is used when subtracting numbers to get change or the “remaining” number. |
Multiplication for the T=nc unit | Taking the cost of an item and increasing it by how many of that item you are buying. Cost x number or cn. The “x” sign is used when multiplying OR you will see numbers next to each other in an equation like “cn” in T=cn. This means to multiply c x n |

Change (as in money) for the T=nc unit | The amount you will get back from the money you pay for items |
