Round 1? Goods and ideas transferred along trade routes. Transferred knowledge of Indian science, medicine, literature, and math.
Round 2? Europeans began travelling around the world. Began Imperialism. A period that is often identified as beginning in 1492, when CC made his first voyage to Caribbean, and ending after WW2. Post WW2: "contemporary globalization"
What is Imperialism? One country's domination of another country's economic,political, and cultural institutions.
Round 3? Rapid growth of world markets. Nearly instant communications. Will be marked by the rapid rise of China & India as economic powers.
