Definition of an Atom	Are the smallest amount of a substance that we can have that will still retain all the features of that substance.
Definition of a Compound	Compounds are 2 or more atoms joined together through attractive forces known as bonds. The atoms may be of the same element or different elements.
Definition of a Element	Elements are made up of just one type of atom.
Definition of a Mixture	Two or more atoms or molecule that are mixed together but not chemically bonded to each other.
Separating Mixtures	Mixtures can be separated by physical processes such as chromatography, crystallisation. simple distillation, fractional distillation and filtering.
