Give an example where Iron ions are found Ferrous Ions (Fe2+) are found in haemoglobin molecules. They help with the transport of oxygen around the body.
What are phosphate ions used for? Phosphate ions perform a structural role in DNA molecules and a role in storing energy in ATP molecules
Hydrogen ions make solutions acidic, what does this mean they can do? They can alter the pH of solutions and therefore the functioning of enzymes
What are sodium ions an important part in? Sodium Ions are important in the transport of glucose and amino acids across a plasma membranes
Although there are a few exceptions, what element don't inorganic ions contain? Carbon
